Hidden webcams used for the surveillance of launderettes, universities and workshops are Optimal Vacuum's point of departure. These images can be found on the internet, but usually they are inaccessible. The intimate diary of the artist Stephen Mathewson serves as a soundtrack. This film offers a reflection on voyeurism, control and the human urge to be watched.
